Is Tanks-A-Lot For You?
How to tell if Tanks-A-Lot is the right watering machine for you and your company? Ask yourself these questions.
  • Am I in business to make a profit?
  • Do I care about my own and my techs' safety?
  • Does efficiency matter as much as a green thumb?
  • Do I know how to use a watering machine now?
  • When making watering machine comparisons do I use appropriate methods and standards?
  • Do I train my technicians adequately on each account?
If you answered YES to all of the above then a Tanks-A-Lot is the watering machine for you. Here's why:
  • As much as you may love plants, people, your customers and your work, if you aren't profitable then you aren't in business. You should be watering someone else's plants so you can do what you love without the management and financial responsibilities.
  • If you are working hard at running your business and watering plants, you can't afford to injure yourself. If you are hiring employees to work for you, you CAN NOT afford liability claims. Lack of safety can mean the difference between profitability and loss. Tanks-A-Lot is ergonomically correct - anyone any size can use it.
  • Without using the fastest safest easiest way to water, you are not efficient. No matter how green your thumbs or how nice the plants look, your dollars earned per hour may not be profitable. Only a timed method and standards study can determine your level of profitability on each account.
  • Good! Now you can do a timed methods and standards analysis of an account.
  • Simply take the time to measure in one unbroken sequence the actual time it takes to: unload your equipment, fill your watering machine, water all your plants refilling as needed. Record this number of minutes/hours for each account. Now have someone else do this account with the same machine. Did they beat your time? Probably not if they are paid by the hour. Think about it. It is up to you the owner/manager to determine how long any account can take to reach profitability.
  • Ask yourself honestly about this one. It determines your profitability. If you have green thumbs and efficiency, then you can achieve proficiency. Proficiency is profitable efficiency and it involves procedures that you design and implement called training to ensure that your company achieves the same quality performance on all accounts with every technician.
