Drilling a New Frame and/or Base
Also for upgrading older one caster models to two casters
The following instructions are helpful when upgrading a single caster model TAL20 to two casters. Lay the tank on it's back on a high workbench that allows you to press the unit against a wall when drilling.

Do not remove the stainless steel band holding the tank to the frame. We recommend that you leave it in place until the casters and side bolts are installed.

Use "C" clamps or "clamping vise grips" to hold the base in place when drilling. Keeping in mind that you do not want the front casters touching each other, mark a distance of 6 inches apart on the bottom of the frame, with a pencil or felt tip pen. Your marks will be approximately 3 inches from your current center hole. These will be your new caster holes. Check by holding both wheels facing each other with their posts pointing at your hole marks; leave a 1/2 to 1 inch space between the caster wheels.

Center punch your marks for drilling to make a small dent at the center of the hole to be drilled. This keeps the large, flat-tipped drill in place while drilling. Make sure the center of the hole is equal distance from each edge of the frame. Do not drill upright of the frame edge or you will weaken the frame.

Push your unit against a wall so you can apply force while drilling. This is steel you are drilling into, and you will drill through two layers of it. The frame is made of hollow square steel. Wear protective eye covering and do not touch the hot drill, or the frame around the hole after drilling. Be sure to hold the drill at 90 degrees to the frame at all times during the drilling, so you won't damage the drill bit, or bind the drill. Push hard against the steel drill steel when drilling and be prepared for a sudden release in pressure when the drill perforates the first side of the steel frame. Continue to drill at 90 degrees, and push through the second side of the frame and the blue/black plastic base.

Put the washers on the caster posts, and put the posts into the holes you drilled. Apply the nuts to the exposed post on top of the blue/black base above the frame. Drill the side holes for the wider bolts, insert the bolts and apply the nuts.
